As a Product Design Intern at Sorbet, a pioneering Web3 startup revolutionizing the freelancing landscape, I have the opportunity to contribute to the design and refinement of a cutting-edge platform. This internship allows me to apply my UX/UI skills to real-world challenges in the Web3 space, focusing on creating intuitive interfaces for freelancer empowerment and working on complex features like blockchain-based transactions.
Working at Sorbet, I've been deeply involved in shaping the user experience of this Web3 freelancing platform. My responsibilities span from redesigning the landing page to developing key product features like the freelancer profile page with innovative bento box elements. Using tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, I create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes, ensuring responsiveness across all devices. I collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align designs with business goals and technical feasibility, while also contributing to Sorbet's evolving design system. My role includes analyzing user research, implementing design iterations based on feedback, and creating user flows for critical features like social media integration. Throughout this process, I'm gaining valuable experience in Web3 design principles and balancing user needs with blockchain technology requirements.
Throughout my internship at Sorbet, collaboration has been the cornerstone of my design process, extending across all projects and phases. By working closely with various teams, I've been able to create designs that are not only visually appealing but also align with business goals, are technically feasible, and true to Sorbet's mission in the Web3 space. This cross-functional approach has been instrumental in developing innovative solutions that meet user needs while advancing Sorbet's vision.
Leading the redesign of Sorbet's landing site, I focused on creating a sleek, modern interface that seamlessly bridges the gap between initial user engagement and the full product experience. A crucial aspect of this project was developing visual assets that effectively communicate Sorbet's unique position in the Web3 freelancing space. By aligning cutting-edge design principles with Sorbet's value proposition, the new landing page serves as a powerful introduction to the platform's innovative offerings.
My contributions to Sorbet's core product centered on building out the freelancer profile page, along with essential user flows such as sharing your unique Sorbet link to your social media account, and the gig card redesign for clients and freelancers. The freelancer profile page is a key component of the platform and needed an approach that balanced intuitive design with ample functionality. I developed a feature-rich interface that not only showcases freelancer talents effectively but also streamlines the hiring process for potential clients. Through thoughtful UX/UI decisions, the profile page enhances Sorbet's ability to foster meaningful connections in the Web3 freelancing space, ultimately driving user engagement and platform growth.
My internship with Sorbet has been an incredibly enriching experience, providing me with invaluable insights into the world of Web3 design and the challenges of creating user-centric solutions for a revolutionary freelancing platform. As I continue my journey with Sorbet, I look forward to tackling new challenges, further developing my skills, and contributing to the company's mission of revolutionizing the freelancing landscape through innovative Web3 solutions. This ongoing experience is shaping my growth as a designer and providing me with a unique perspective on the future of work and digital interactions in the Web3 era.
